Event Detail

The Clinton Cleanup is a watershed-wide event that takes place on the third Saturday in September. This annual campaign is made possible through the combined effort of hundreds of volunteers, businesses, local governments and community organizations who come together to cleanup garbage, remove invasive species and restore habitat at various locations throughout the watershed.

The Clinton Cleanup is for all ages, backgrounds and skill levels with activities ranging from on-land garbage collecting to paddling and water trail cleanups to invasive species removal and native plant installations.

Interested volunteers should contact the listed site coordinator for each specific cleanup site. For any questions or additional information, please contact the CRWC directly. We look forward to seeing you!

The Clinton Cleanup Dress Code

  • Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety.
  • No flip-flops, sandals or open-toed shoes unless operating a kayak.
  • Wear clothes that can get dirty.
  • Be mindful of the weather and dress accordingly.
  • For hot days, we suggest bringing a good hat and an extra shirt.
  • Bringing water and work gloves is also recommended.
  • If kayaks are provided by a CRWC sponsor to support our cleanup efforts, kayaks are always on a first-come first-served basis
