Every week, volunteers pick up trash, remove woody debris and perform in-water cleanups during the summer months called “Trash Runs” by paddling up and down the river.
Weekly Clean schedules cleanings at different locations throughout the Clinton River Watershed. Weekly Clean events are for all ages, backgrounds and skill levels with activities ranging from on-land garbage collecting to paddling and water trail cleanups to invasive species removal and native plant installations.
This on-going cleanup campaign is made possible by the hundreds of enthusiastic residents, students and volunteers who come together throughout the year to cleanup the Clinton River, its watershed and Lake St. Clair.
Weekly Clean is every Wednesday 10am – 12pm during field season. Interested volunteers can visit the [Weekly Clean Schedule] to find the next meeting site. For any questions or additional information, please contact the CRWC directly. We look forward to seeing you!
Typically, registration is not required for Weekly Clean unless a group plans to bring a large number of people. However, registration is required for this event to waive the park's entry fee.
All volunteers must fill out the Huron-Clinton Metroparks Volunteer Waiver. Please bring a copy with you to the clean-up. New volunteers need to fill out CRWC's Volunteer Waiver, which will be available at check-in.
