Thank you for attending River Day 2018!

Every year, CRWC solicits logo designs for the River Day logo contest. This year, we had many great logo designs that were submitted by people of all ages from all over the watershed. The winner was decided by popular vote at our Annual Meeting and the logo will appear on this year’s official River Day event t-shirt.
CRWC would like to congratulate Nathaniel Mansoura student and resident of Warren, MI as this year’s River Day logo contest winner! Nathaniel is a senior in high school and is interested in pursing a career in Art Animation! Nathaniel has always enjoyed drawing since he was a little kid and enjoys sketching a mixture of characters and scenery as well as writing short stories revolving around them.
Nathaniel says: “In regards to the River Day submission, it was the mention of rivers and other people’s past submissions with fish which inspired me. I started drawing at random with pencil, free-penning it as I like to call it, when I chose to make a canoe. It sort of took off from there. I pulled images from my memory, allowing the scene to take shape”.

River Day is designed to encourage appreciation and recreational use of the waterways of the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair, and to celebrate the leadership of local citizens, organizations, and communities whose efforts are critical to protecting and enhancing the overall quality of the Clinton River watershed.

This June individuals, businesses, community groups, and local governments across the watershed will join forces on River Day to enhance and celebrate the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair. Activities range from nature hikes, canoe trips, fishing derbies, and fly fishing lessons to storm drain stenciling, river clean-ups, habitat restoration, and native landscaping.
