Environmental Education Intern (2 positions)
Interns will get hands-on experience in environmental and outdoor education through CRWC’s educational and stewardship programs and events: Stream Leaders K-12 water quality monitoring program, Weekly Clean stewardship program, and others (River Day, Adopt-A-Stream, Water Festivals, etc.).
Storm Drain Stewards Intern
Deadline for a letter of support from CRWC: January 21, 2026
Deadline for application to Michigan Sea Grant Undergrad Internship: January 31, 2026
The Clinton River Watershed Council is seeking an intern to assist in expanding our Stormwater Education program with a new outreach initiative called Storm Drain Stewards. This program promotes responsible stormwater practices in residential areas by connecting with residents to paint proactive messages with stencils and murals by storm drains.
Fish Passage Technician
The Fish Passage Technician will work collaboratively with the Watershed Ecologist, Environmental Scientist, a fellow Fish Passage Technician, and Environmental Science Interns to facilitate activities under CRWC’s road stream crossing (RSX) inventory project.
Green Stormwater Infrastructure Technician
The Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Technician will work collaboratively with the GSI Coordinator and other CRWC staff to facilitate activities under CRWC’s residential green infrastructure program.
Environmental Science Intern (2 positions)
Interns will get hands-on experience collecting and working with data that pertains to watershed management and aquatic ecology. Field work experience may include but is not limited to: water quality monitoring and sampling, macroinvertebrate sampling, habitat assessments and inventories, basic surveying, site assessments, and residential site visits.
Water Trail Coordinator
The Water Trail Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Watershed Planner to facilitate activities and planning under CRWC’s management of the Clinton River Water Trail. The Water Trail Coordinator is responsible for assisting with Water Trail activities including organizing and coordinating water trail activities, assisting with planning and executing trail related programming, and developing a strategy to implement the goals of the water trail plan.
