Nourished by Nature

Nourished By Nature began in 2023 to help watershed residents have fun outside by providing engaging educational experiences that brought participants a little closer to the outdoors and gave them a chance to test-drive recreational and nature-based hobbies.

CRWC often shares that clean water and a healthy environment are essential for a strong economy and a high quality of life within our diverse watershed. CRWC focuses on sharing education about our freshwater resources, advocating for and participating in the stewardship of our natural environment, and working with local municipalities on restoration and green infrastructure projects, but in the summer of 2023, CRWC shared the experiences that sparked our passion for the outdoors in the first place.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors.

This series invited those who have little-to-no experience outside to join CRWC for guided activities in our natural spaces. Attendees got firsthand experiences viewing wildlife, learning about recreational resources, spending time with outdoor experts, exploring different environments, and making new memories.
