Host: Dinosaur Hill. Meander along our trails and stop at our River Day stations to discover what our waterways do for us, and how we can help them. Discover how Trout Unlimited creates fish habitat in the creek. Visit the Rochester Pollinators to learn about the role of native plants along the river. Take part in the 60-second invasive species removal challenge. Bring water shoes (or borrow ours) to get in the water and dip net for macroinvertebrates, try your hand at water quality testing, and create a Gyotaku fish print. Register on Dino Hill's website to participate. Please watch the Dinosaur Hill Nature Center website and Facebook/Instagram for any cancellation or postponement plans.
About River Day: Every June, individuals, businesses, community groups, and local governments across the watershed join forces on River Day to enhance and celebrate the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair. Activities range from nature hikes, canoe trips, fishing derbies, and fly fishing lessons to storm drain stenciling, river clean-ups, habitat restoration, and native landscaping.
