Host: Clinton River Watershed Council. Join CRWC and Madison Heights in launching our Storm Drain Stewards project. We’re looking for 10 - 15 volunteers to help us stencil storm drains across Madison Heights. This is one of three stenciling events that will happen throughout the spring and summer in Madison Heights.
The stencils read, "No Dumping, Drains to River" in order to discourage residents from dumping garbage and other contaminants into drains. Register with a friend as we will be stenciling in pairs. Lunch is provided!
Sponsored by Pure Oakland Water (POW).
About River Day: Every June, individuals, businesses, community groups, and local governments across the watershed join forces on River Day to enhance and celebrate the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair. Activities range from nature hikes, canoe trips, fishing derbies, and fly fishing lessons to storm drain stenciling, river clean-ups, habitat restoration, and native landscaping.
