Now is the perfect time to get involved with protecting our freshwater resources with volunteer events, free training and education classes and family-friendly activities throughout the year!
Oakland County has more than 1,400 public and private lakes and numerous streams and waterways. One of the best ways to experience time near the water is by boating, fishing and visiting the wide variety of county parks.
Macomb County includes the Huron-Clinton Metroparks, a regional park system that consists of 13 parks with multiple lakes and covers more than 25,000 acres of Southeast Michigan including the North Marina and boat launch with access to Lake St. Clair.
Due to the lake's size and numerous islands, channels and bays, Lake St. Clair is a popular destination for fishing, swimming and boating and conveniently close to many waterside amenities including restaurants, marinas and parks.
